The first of its kind in cosmetics, NEAR 1 is the result of eight years of research and development. It started as a project to create an effective and stable form of Vitamin A that would cause little to no irritation. By using a unique link to add Niacinamide to the Vitamin A molecule, we managed to stabilize and enhance the effects of the Vitamin A.

WHAT IS NEAR 1?
NEAR 1 is Verso’s patented molecule. It is a versatile skincare technology combining two hero ingredients: Vitamin A and Niacinamide. It is the outcome of our ambition to create an effective and stable Vitamin A technology causing little to no irritation. NEAR 1 is developed from Vitamin A and Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide). After combining these ingredients with a unique link, a new Vitamin A derivative (an ester of Vitamin A) is produced. The technology uses Niacinamide to help further stabilize and enhance the benefits of Vitamin A. This results in Vitamin A being more stable, effective, and gentle - the first of its kind.
BACKGROUND
We started the project of developing NEAR 1 because we wanted to further improve the efficacy and usage of Vitamin A. Our vision was to create an effective and stable Vitamin A technology causing little to no irritation. Thanks to the increased stability of Vitamin A, products powered by NEAR 1 can effectively deliver the unique effects of Vitamin A. It took us eight years of research and development, but as we launch NEAR 1, we are introducing something genuinely innovative, on par with the Vitamin A complex Retinol 8. For us, it is a triumph for science-based skincare.

Even if NEAR 1 can be used during the daytime, we advise you to protect your skin when exposed to the sun (with or without using a product with retinoids/Vitamin A). Protecting your skin against the sun maintains the results of your skincare routine, promoting a prolonged youthful appearance. We advise that you avoid using products with NEAR 1 when sunbathing. We always recommend using a broad-spectrum sunscreen SPF 30 or higher when using NEAR 1.
The same precaution applies to pregnancy and breastfeeding. We do not recommend using NEAR 1 during pregnancy due to the overall hormonal change in the body. Instead, we recommend choosing products that help moisturize, soothe, and protect your skin.
